My name is Geoff Wood. I live in Des Moines. I'm married to Hope and we have one son. I'm the COO of Silicon Prairie News. I have a side project called Eggcrates.

Geoff is the COO and main connection point in Iowa for Silicon Prairie News (SPN), an organization working to increase the notability of the Silicon Prairie region – Des Moines, Omaha, Kansas City and surrounding area – as an innovation center and startup hub. In addition to putting out the premier technology publication in the area, the SPN team also produces events Big Des Moines, Big Omaha and Big Kansas City.
Geoff has co-founded several startups, including VolunteerLocal, Eggcrates, and CampusAuthority. He earned a B. Sc. from Iowa State University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
