Saw this on yahoo news yesterday and find it quite unbelievable:

"Officials found 38 blinking electronic signs promoting the Cartoon Network TV show "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" on bridges and other high-profile spots across the city Wednesday, prompting the closing of a highway and the deployment of bomb squads. The surreal series is about a talking milkshake, a box of fries and a meatball(1). "

I understand why the Boston authorities were so upset but in the larger scope it's a bit crazy - it's also interesting that Boston took this course of action (several weeks after the ads were posted) when the other dozen or so cities did not.

On the lighter side, it's a pretty funny show. My roomate in Ankeny, Dave, was a big Aquateen fan and Hope was pretty excited about it for awhile, too. The article mentions that they're planning to make it into a feature film soon which should prove interesting considering the televised episodes are only 15 minutes.
