This morning Hope dragged me off the couch for a little cultural experience. We've been seeing ads for an exhibit coming to the Indiana State Museum since we moved here and we've been excited about it. It's been open for a few months but we'd never settled on a time to go...that is until today.
The exhibit is a traveling exhibit from New Zealand on its last international stop. It's for the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the only exhibition of it's kind. Here's the webpage: http://www.tepapa.govt.nz/rings/
It was pretty neat, lots of costumes and props actually used in the films as well as exhibits on how they did the special effects. Of particular interest was how to film two people roughly the same size but make them appear vastly different (Hobbits are short, you know).
Elijah Wood, just another famous "Wood" child weened on the mean streets of Cedar Rapids, IA.
